Hamster Kombat, the leading play-to-earn Web 3 game on Telegram, is facing serious internal turmoil that threatens to derail its highly anticipated airdrop. The game, which boasts a massive user base of over 250 million players, was set to make headlines with what could be the largest airdrop in cryptocurrency history. However, recent conflicts between key investors and the development team have cast a shadow over these plans.
The conflict centers around a major disagreement between the Hamster Kombat development team and one of its primary investors, AD.RU. The dispute has escalated, with AD.RU accusing the developers of failing to uphold their end of the bargain regarding financial commitments and equity shares in the project.
Anton Gorshkov, CEO of AD.RU, claims that his company invested over $600,000 into Hamster Kombat and facilitated an additional $1 million in funding. In return, AD.RU was promised a 25% stake in the project. However, the Hamster Kombat team, led by project manager Eduard Gurinovich, has denied any involvement with AD.RU, further fueling tensions.

As a result of this disagreement, AD.RU is reportedly considering legal action against Hamster Kombat, putting the future of the project—and its much-anticipated airdrop—at risk. The ongoing conflict has also raised concerns about the project’s ability to deliver on its promises to the vast community of players and investors.
The internal strife isn’t the only issue plaguing the Hamster Kombat airdrop. Technical limitations within the Open Network (TON) platform, which is integral to the distribution of Hamster tokens, have also contributed to delays. These combined challenges have made the airdrop increasingly uncertain, with many speculating that it will be postponed.
The uncertainty surrounding the airdrop has had a significant impact on the price of Hamster Tokens in pre-market trading. The token’s value has plummeted by more than 50%, dropping from its peak of $0.26 to around $0.169 on OKX and $0.187 on Bybit.
The delay and uncertainty have further sparked frustration among Hamster Kombat’s massive community, with many members voicing frustration over the prolonged wait for the airdrop. The situation is particularly evident in the Web 3 community in Nigeria, where Hamster Kombat has attracted significant investment. Many are hoping for an airdrop that could rival the success of the Bitcoin distribution, but these hopes are now in jeopardy.
As Hamster Kombat navigates this challenging period, all eyes are on the development team and their ability to resolve these issues. The outcome will not only determine the fate of the airdrop but could also have lasting implications for the future of the project and its standing in the competitive Web 3 gaming space.
