Two of Nigeria’s most prominent businessmen, Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola, have reportedly fallen victim to coordinated phone breaches that triggered immediate financial demands from the attackers. Sources with direct knowledge of the situation say the intrusions occurred within the past week, with Otedola targeted once and Dangote hit twice in the space of two days. The incidents have raised concern within their circles, as neither man is believed to have fully regained control of the compromised devices.
According to those aware of the breaches, the hackers acted with unusual speed, issuing monetary requests soon after gaining access. What data may have been exposed and whether investigators have been formally alerted remain unclear. The uncertainty has contributed to growing speculation about the method of infiltration and the identity of the group behind it.

Despite the tension surrounding the attacks, both men have maintained their regular appearances together. Otedola was present only days ago as Dangote outlined an ambitious plan to increase his refinery’s output from 650,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million. The moment offered a sharp contrast to the private security concerns now trailing them.
At the gathering, Otedola spoke warmly about Dangote’s long record of investment, describing him as a figure whose work has shaped modern industry on the continent. He noted that the refinery project would stand as a defining achievement for future generations and added that ordinary Nigerians would one day hold a stake in the enterprise.
