Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci has officially revealed her plans to prepare the largest pot of jollof rice in the world, which will require 250 bags of rice.
Baci, who set the record for the longest cooking marathon in 2023, shared details about this ambitious endeavor in a video on Instagram on Monday.
She mentioned that the specially designed pot has a capacity of 22,619 liters, and her goal is to fill it to at least 75 to 80 percent.
“To achieve that, I’ll need approximately 5,278 kilograms of raw basmati rice, which is equivalent to 264 bags. However, I’ve opted to use 250 bags,” she stated.

Additionally, she revealed that the preparation will involve 1,583 kilograms of tomato paste.
“For every kilogram of rice, you need about 0.20 to 0.35 of tomato paste. Since this is Nigerian jollof, I’m using 0.30, meaning I’ll require 1,583 kilograms of Gino tomato paste,” Baci explained.
She noted that the tomato base will be complemented with tomato paste, pepper chicken paste, and jollof paste to create the “most delicious and largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice ever made.”
