Pep Guardiola and Cristina Serra, one of the most stable couples in the world of soccer, have decided to end their relationship after more than three decades together.
The news, first reported by El Periódico and revealed on the show Y ahora Sonsoles by Lorena Vázquez from the team of Mamarazzis, confirms that the separation took place last December.
Sources close to Guardiola have confirmed to La Vanguardia that the separation is now official and that the couple has informed their closest circle.
According to Vázquez’s report, the couple had been considering this decision for several months. “It is absolutely true, the couple is living apart,” the journalist explained, highlighting that, although the legal details are unknown, they already reside in different homes.
The relationship between Guardiola and Serra started in 1994 and was solidified with an intimate wedding in 2014.
During these years, the couple had three children, María (24), who has pursued a career as an influencer, Màrius (22), a businessman in Dubai and Valentina (17), who is currently focused on her studies.
Since 2019, Cristina had stopped living in Manchester, shuttling between Barcelona and London to manage her fashion business.
Meanwhile, the coach of Manchester City remained in the English city for professional commitments. Despite this physical separation, the couple maintained a close relationship and shared special moments as a family.

This lifestyle, more akin to the concept of living apart together, allowed both to maintain their independence, although they ultimately decided to go their separate ways.
According to close sources, the separation has occurred in a friendly manner and without conflicts, and the distancing is due to a natural evolution. “It is a cordial and affectionate relationship, there are no third parties involved,” warns Lorena Vázquez in Y ahora Sonsoles.
This Christmas, already with the decision made, they were seen together in Barcelona enjoying a theater outing with one of their daughters. “It is a separation without drama, a closing of a chapter that reflects maturity,” Vázquez stated during her TV appearance.
The breakup comes at a delicate moment for Guardiola, both personally and professionally. His team, Manchester City, is having a season below expectations, and the Catalan coach has shown signs of emotional strain after some defeats.
