The Niger Delta Grassroots Organisation (NDGO), has called on the federal government to concession the Warri Refinery to Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited to enhance oil sector deregulation and access to refined products by Niger Deltans.
National Coordinator of group, Comrade Weyinmi Olley made the recommendation in a statement released to newsmen on Monday.
He said that the call for the concession of the Warri Refinery is occasioned by the need to make refined petroleum products available at all times to Nigerians, especially in oil producing communities that currently purchase refined products at higher cost.

Olley disclosed that Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited, recently completed developing its first oil well in the Ogbanabou Oil Field.
He added that the Chief Executive of the firm, Kestin Pondi, has shown the passion and commitment to the security of the nation’s oil resources, by pushing oil production to nearly 2 million barrels per day.
“Given his proven passion and commitment to the national economy, we trust that Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited is one company that the federal government can give the Warri Refinery, for activities that will reverse the shame on Nigeria that oil producing communities have no easy and cheap access to refined crude oil products,” he said.
