Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has signed into law the N695 billion supplementary appropriation bill for the 2025 fiscal year, recently passed by the State House of Assembly. The signing took place during the Delivery Advisory Team (DAT) meeting held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Uyo.
Governor Eno commended the State Assembly for the swift passage of the bill, describing it as a demonstration of the legislature’s commitment to the state’s development goals. He explained that the supplementary budget would accelerate the implementation of key projects and boost service delivery across all sectors.
“The 2024 budget performed impressively and attracted commendation from the state. I am confident that 2025 will record even greater success,” the governor said. “With this supplementary budget now signed into law, we are further energized to deliver fully on all government programmes and projects with accountability and dedication to the people of Akwa Ibom State.”
He called on commissioners, delivery advisers, and project handlers to study the provisions of the budget carefully and ensure full implementation in their respective sectors. He also urged them to take advantage of the dry season to expedite ongoing projects, assuring that his administration remains focused and will not be distracted from its commitment to effective governance.
