Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has sworn in 10 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, charging them to uphold integrity, transparency and diligence in the discharge of their duties within the state civil service.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Government House in Yola, where the governor presided over the formal induction of the senior officials. The oaths of office and allegiance were administered by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi.
Governor Fintiri said the appointments were strictly based on merit, describing them as well-earned after years of dedicated service. He stressed that the position of Permanent Secretary carries heavy responsibility, noting that the appointees now occupy a critical role in policy implementation, administrative coordination and service delivery across ministries and agencies.

The governor urged the new Permanent Secretaries to draw on their wealth of experience to strengthen governance, improve efficiency in the civil service and support the state’s development agenda. He reminded them that public trust must be protected at all times through discipline, accountability and loyalty to the public interest.
Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Albert Pwanidi Ray thanked the governor for the confidence reposed in them and pledged that they would serve with professionalism and unwavering commitment to their oaths of office.
Those sworn in are Albert Pwanidi Ray, Purity Simon Timothy, Hamidu Njidda, Hauwa Ali Banu, Yusuf Peter, Abdul-Azeez Adamu Buba, Regina Audu Njidda, Abdullahi Shuaibu, Soyi Daniel and Paulina Isa Yusuf.
