Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing the capacity of civil servants through training and professional development.
Gov. Zulum made the pronouncement in Maiduguri, the state capital, during the swearing -in of the new Head of Service, Dr. Mohammed Ghuluze.
Gov. Zulum directed Dr. Ghuluze to prioritize training programmes, workshops, and mentorship initiatives to improve the competence of civil servants across the state.
“During your tenure, and before the expiration of my term, I want to put more emphasis on the training of civil servants. This is a key area, I want you to focus on,” Gov. Zulum stated.
He further instructed the new head of service to work closely with the secretary to the state government, and the establishment department to identify training needs within the shortest time possible.

Expressing confidence in the new head of service leadership, Gov. Zulum noted that “your track record of achievements is a testament to your abilities, and commitment to delivering results. I wish you a successful tenure in office.”
Responding, Dr. Ghuluze expressed gratitude to the governor for the opportunity, pledging to carry out his duties with integrity, transparency, and dedication.
“I stand here today with a profound sense of humility, and gratitude as I accept this huge responsibility. I am aware of the challenges ahead, but I am committed to serving with vision and empathy,” he stated.
