Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, along with prominent businessman, Mohammed Indimi, have expressed their condolences to the government and citizens of Adamawa State following the death of Sen. Jibril Aminu.
During their visit to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri at the Government House in Yola on Tuesday, they referred to the late Sen. Aminu as one of their own from Borno State, emphasising the significant impact he had on the advancement of education in both Borno State and Nigeria.
In response, Gov. Fintiri thanked the visitors for their support, describing the loss of Sen. Aminu, as a profound tragedy for both Adamawa State and the nation as a whole.

The governor also prayed for the continued strengthening of the relationship between Adamawa and Borno States for the benefit of their people and the North East region in general.
Sen. Aminu, a distinguished scholar and politician, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2025, at the age of 85 after a brief illness.
