Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has flagged off the comprehensive recertification of certificates of occupancy issued to land owners in the state to ensure accurate and secure land records, protect investments, and resolve land disputes.
Gov. Yusuf therefore advised landowners to comply with the recertification exercise, indicating that his administration will embark on significant reforms in land administration in the state.
A statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, said Gov. Yusuf, flagged off the recertification exercise at the renovated administrative block complex of the Kano State Geographic Information System (KANGIS) and the Ministry of Land and Physical Planning, describing the development as a milestone for creating an efficient and transparent land management system.

Yusuf highlighted the complete renovation of KANGIS and the ministry’s facilities, now equipped with modern ICT infrastructure to enhance service delivery, reflecting the administration’s commitment to professionalism, transparency, and development.
