Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to collaborating with faith-based organizations to foster peace, unity, and development in the state.
The governor made this declaration on November 25, 2024, while receiving renowned international evangelist, Rabbi Kirt Schneider and members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) at the Government House, Asaba.
Describing faith-based organizations as vital partners in societal progress, Gov. Oborevwori highlighted the positive influence of religious leaders in promoting spiritual growth and unity among the people. He expressed gratitude for the visit and the prayers offered for the state and its leaders.
Gov. Oborevwori said: “We are grateful for the vital work you do in fostering unity within the body of Christ and promoting peace in our nation. Delta State has always been a home to great men of God, and our doors remain open to those who come to bless this land and pray for its people.
“We value our partnership with faith-based organizations and recognize their role in ensuring meaningful development thrives in a peaceful environment.”
The governor commended Rabbi Schneider for his soul-winning crusade and his commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ worldwide. He acknowledged the contributions of religious leaders in shaping a society rooted in love, hope, and moral values.

He further expressed confidence that such collaborations with religious organizations will further enhance peace and unity, paving the way for sustainable development.
“Working together, we can overcome challenges and build a brighter future for our people,” the governor added.
Earlier, Rabbi Schneider, shared the story of his life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ over four decades ago, pointing at the importance of maintaining a deep relationship with God, as the ultimate solution to life’s challenges.
He praised Gov. Oborevwori for his faith-centered leadership and prayed for divine grace to guide him in his duties.
The highlight of the visit was the special prayers offered for the state, its leaders, and its citizens. Rabbi Schneider and CAN members prayed for the continued peace, prosperity, and revival in Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.
