Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the immediate past President of the state Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Patience Elumeze.
Justice Elumeze reportedly died on Tuesday in Abuja, after a brief illness, two years after her retirement from the bench.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, Gov. Oborevwori described the late jurist as a committed and accomplished legal luminary who made outstanding contributions to the development of the judicial system in Delta State.
The governor said: “We have lost a woman of integrity, compassion, and a true reformer in the judiciary.
“Justice Elumeze served the state with honour and dedication, particularly during her time as president of the Customary Court of Appeal.
