Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, felicitated the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor, on the occasion of his 47th birth anniversary on April 1.
In a goodwill message conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, the governor joined family, lawmakers, constituents from Warri South-West, as well as friends and associates in celebrating the speaker, whom he described as a leader with a strong sense of purpose.
Gov. Oborevwori commended Guwor, who is chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria for his significant contributions to legislative excellence and his role in advancing policies that support the overall development of Delta State.

He noted that the speaker’s leadership has sustained stability in the House of Assembly, fostering cooperation and mutual respect among the arms of government.
He further applauded the legislature under Guwor’s watch for maintaining a seamless lawmaking process, particularly in the passage of impactful bills and resolutions aimed at improving the welfare of Deltans.
According to the governor, the speaker’s dedication to people-oriented governance and his ability to steer the state House of Assembly with wisdom and focus have continued to strengthen democratic institutions in the state.
Gov. Oborevwori also acknowledged the alignment of the assembly’s legislative efforts with his administration’s MORE Agenda, emphasizing that such synergy has accelerated progress across various sectors.
He offered prayers for the speaker’s continued good health, long life, and greater accomplishments in service to Delta State and humanity as he marks another milestone.
