Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has presented security vehicles to the army.
The vehicles, worth billions of naira, were procured by the governor in his commitment to ensure a safer and more secure Taraba State.
They include four patrol gunboats, four mine-resistant ambush protection, and four armoured gun-trucks, among others.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony of the vehicles today, Gov. Kefas said he is investing in the security sector to completely wipe out insecurity in the state.
He assured that his administration will build a strong intelligence network, dominate the airspace, waterways, and all areas of human activities.
Gov. Kefas also stressed that all security agencies will be engaged, as well as relevant stakeholders, to keep all nooks and crannies of the state safe and secure for human activities.

He said he will continue to do everything possible to ensure that the state enjoys relative peace to attract investors and development partners.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Gebon Kataps, said since the governor took over power in May 2023, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the security of the state.
He said the governor has spent a lot of resources on providing logistics and support to the security agencies in the state.
The commissioning ceremony was witnessed by the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, John Bonzena and the Chief of Defence Operations, Nigeria Army, Major General Emeka Onumajuru, the 6 Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa and other senior government officials from the state.
