A wave of excitement swept through Yola on Monday as Ayuka Linus, widely known as “Yaron Fintiri,” who trekked from Taraba State in support of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, arrived in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, to a rousing reception after completing the long-distance trek.
Linus, who journeyed approximately 176 kilometres from Jalingo in Taraba State, was warmly welcomed at the city’s entrance by members of the Forum of Social Media Aides to Gov. Fintiri, alongside enthusiastic supporters.
Leading the reception, the forum’s Chairman, Ijabani Ijahu, praised Linus’s determination, describing the trek as a powerful symbol of grassroots support for Gov. Fintiri’s leadership.
He noted that such acts reflect increasing public recognition of the administration’s developmental achievements across the state.

Addressing the crowd, Linus said his journey was a deliberate show of solidarity with the governor, citing confidence in Fintiri’s vision and ongoing efforts to transform Adamawa State.
He added that the trek, which began on Friday and concluded on Monday morning, was fueled by his admiration for the administration’s impact and recent political strides.
The event drew attention from residents and supporters, further amplifying conversations around governance and citizen-driven endorsements in Adamawa State.
