Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has sacked the 50 development areas administrators in the state.
A statement released by the governor’s Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, on Thursday, said the sack of the development areas administrators takes effect immediately.
The development areas administrators who have been removed are directed to transfer the responsibilities, documents, and assets of their respective areas to the most senior personnel.
In the statement, Gov. Fintiri conveyed his appreciation to the departing development areas administrators for their essential contributions to his governance.
He recognised their hard work and unwavering dedication, labeling them as “fantastic motivators” who have been instrumental in promoting development at the grassroots level.

“I commend the development areas administrators for their tireless efforts in stimulating development at the grassroots level.
“Their support has been instrumental in achieving successes in our state.
“I wish them well in their future endeavours and assure the people of Adamawa State that we will continue to prioritise their welfare and development,” the statement said.
It directed the most senior staff member to assume responsibility of managing their respective development areas, and ensuring that government activities and programmes continue uninterrupted.
