Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, has launched the construction of the Jimeta Ultra-Modern Shopping Complex.
The launch, according to him, is aimed at boosting economic growth and commercial activities in the state.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Gov. Fintiri emphasized that the project is part of his administration’s broader vision to drive infrastructural development, attract investment, and create job opportunities.
“This project is not just about erecting a structure; it is about building an enduring legacy, a commercial hub that will attract investments, foster economic growth, and create job opportunities for our people,” he stated.
The shopping complex, upon completion, he said, will feature high-end retail outlets, food courts, office spaces, and recreational areas, positioning Jimeta as a key commercial destination in Adamawa State.

The project valued at ₦19.7 billion, the governor said, has been divided into three lots, with construction awarded to three reputable firms.
The move is geared towards ensuring quality and timely execution, adding that the state government has engaged consultants who would act as project supervisors.
With an estimated completion timeline of 18 months, the initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to modernizing urban infrastructure and promoting sustainable economic development.
Gov. Fintiri urged traders and business stakeholders to collaborate with the state ministry of commerce to take ownership of the project and support its success.
“This is the new Adamawa State, where no one is left behind, and nothing is left untouched,” he affirmed.
