Governor Mai Mala Buni has signed a fresh round of empowerment contracts aimed at promoting self-reliance, youth enterprise, and women’s participation in business across Yobe State.
The initiative, facilitated by the Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment, and Employment Generation, will see the distribution of motorcycles, tricycles, cooking oil containers, and advanced charcoal stoves to beneficiaries across all 17 local government areas of the state.
At the signing ceremony held in Damaturu, the Commissioner, Alhaji Aji Yerima Bularafa, described the effort as a major step forward in building a people-centered economy.
“These empowerment programs are not just about giving out items—they’re about transforming lives, creating productivity, and restoring dignity,” Bularafa said.
