Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to supporting security agencies in their efforts to ensure peace and stability across the state
The governor gave the assurance when he received in audience the acting Commander of Sector 2, ‘Operation HADIN KAI’, Brig. Gen. B.M. Martins.
“The state government is committed to working closely with security agencies to achieve lasting peace and security throughout the state,” the governor said.
He expressed confidence in Brig. Gen. Martins’ leadership and assured him of the cooperation and support of the state government and its citizens.

Earlier, Brig. Gen. Martins appealed for the continued support of the people of Yobe State, stating, “we are committed to instituting peace and security in the state and the entire region, so that people can live peacefully and pursue their lawful livelihoods.”
In a related development, the Special Adviser to the governor on Security Affairs, Brig. Gen. Dahiru Abdulsalam (rtd), has presented an award to Gov. Buni in recognition of his contributions to peace-building and development in Yobe State.
