Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has urged focal persons and coordinators in the state to embrace patience, honesty, and commitment in their roles to achieve set developmental goals.
Speaking at the Government House, Damaturu, during a visit by the focal persons, Gov. Buni, represented by Deputy Governor, Idi Gubana, reminded the officials of the importance ensuring effective coordination and communication within their respective organizations.
The visit was led by the interim Chairman of the Forum of Focal Persons and Coordinators, and the focal person on tertiary institutions, Mallam Mohammed Umar.

Gov. Buni highlighted the role of youth in governance, stressing that their involvement promotes accountability, drives economic growth, and reduces restiveness.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to empowering young people, by equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed in an evolving world.
The governor assured the forum of plans to establish a collaborative platform with relevant ministries and agencies to enhance their efficiency.
Mallam Mohammed Umar sought the governor’s guidance and commended his administration’s focus on youth inclusion.
He cited achievements such as the extension of a 2.5km road and the installation of solar-powered street lights at Yobe State University, Damaturu.
The forum pledged to uphold the trust placed in them and contribute effectively to the administration’s developmental agenda.
