Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has called on the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to intensify air surveillance along border communities to enhance security and maintain peace in the state.

The governor Bala Mohammed made the appeal during a farewell visit from the outgoing Air Officer Commanding Special Operations Command, Air Vice Marshal Eniobong Effiong, at the Government House in Bauchi. He stressed that proactive measures are necessary to prevent criminal activities and safeguard the lives and property of residents.

In response, Air Vice Marshal Effiong expressed gratitude to the governor for his support during his tenure, reaffirming the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to working closely with the state government to ensure peace and stability.

As gathered by The Trumpet, Effiong has been reassigned to the office of the National Security Adviser in Abuja.
