The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, took to his X handle today, to express his excitement at spearheading an initiative with the establishment of the Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Model School, the first of its kind in the North East.
“Education is the foundation of progress. In Bauchi State, we are laying the groundwork for a brighter future by constructing mega schools in each of our 20 local government areas.
“This first site is a testament to my unwavering commitment to providing quality education and ensuring every child learns in a conducive environment,” he said.

Located in Awala, Bauchi, the Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Model School, Gov. Bala added that the school “sets new standards for academic excellence, offering state-of-the-art facilities to inspire our children and equip our teachers to deliver exceptional education.”
He stated further that it is also a strategic intervention to tackle the out-of-school syndrome, promoting inclusive education and creating opportunities for all.
“Through this transformative project, we will build a future where knowledge becomes the cornerstone of Bauchi State’s socio-economic growth,” he said.
