The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has presented the staff of office and instrument of appointment to the new Owa Obokun of Ijesha, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haaatrup.
Gov. Adeleke took to his X handle to celebrate this historical event, saying “this historic event was last held over 40 years ago, when our revered departed father, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran was presented his instrument of appointment and staff of office, signifying the beginning of another era in the history of this great kingdom.

“I charged the new Owa, to rally round all citizens of Ijeshaland, home and abroad, to ensure peace and development of Ijeshaland and the state at large, and I admonish all Ijesha sons and daughters to support kabiyesi in the development of the fatherland.”
He congratulated members and executives of the Osun State Council of Obas on the appointment of the new Owa Obokun and urged the council to continue to advise, support and cooperate with his government in its ongoing task of transforming the lives of the citizens of the state.
