The Gombe State Police Command has assured residents of the state of adequate security measures ahead of this year’s Easter celebrations.
In a press statement released today, the Command extended warm Easter greetings to Christians and all residents, emphasizing the season’s values of peace, sacrifice, and renewal.
The state Commissioner of Police, Bello Yahaya, said the Command is committed to ensuring a safe and peaceful atmosphere throughout the celebrations.
To this end, the Command has deployed personnel across key locations including worship centres, motor parks, markets, and other public spaces. Patrol teams and undercover officers will be on the ground to monitor activities and respond promptly to any security concerns.

Yahaya added that the Command is working closely with sister security agencies and community stakeholders to maintain law and order.

The Police Commissioner also called on residents to celebrate responsibly and cooperate with law enforcement officers as they discharge their duties.
