Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has officially signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill into law, marking a significant milestone for the state’s economic and social development. The ₦369.9 billion budget was signed during a ceremony held on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the Government House in Gombe, attracting widespread attention as a strategic blueprint for progress.

Governor Yahaya described the 2025 budget as a transformative roadmap designed to drive economic growth and improve the lives of Gombe residents. According to him, the budget reflects his administration’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing sectors that directly impact the well-being of the people while advancing the state’s overall development agenda.

“The appropriation law reflects our resolve to deepen our development initiatives and prioritize sectors that improve the lives of our citizens,” the governor remarked during the signing ceremony.

He extended his gratitude to the Gombe State House of Assembly for their efficient handling of the budget process, emphasizing the productive partnership between the executive and legislative arms of government. This synergy, he noted, has been a cornerstone of the administration’s successes since 2019, leading to significant achievements across various sectors.

“I want to sincerely thank the honorable members of the House of Assembly for the speedy passage of the bill. Your cooperation and support have been instrumental in the remarkable milestones we have achieved over the years. This partnership has significantly benefited the good people of Gombe State,” Governor Yahaya said.

The governor highlighted recent accolades earned by the state in critical areas such as security and healthcare, attributing these achievements to the harmonious collaboration between the two arms of government. He praised the Assembly for increasing sectoral allocations, particularly in healthcare and social services, to further enhance the quality of life for citizens.

“The awards we recently earned in security, health, and other sectors are the result of our collective commitment. We are dedicated to ensuring that these resources are effectively utilized for the greater good of our people,” he added.

Governor Yahaya also announced plans to release the performance report of the 2024 budget in January 2025, expressing optimism about the positive outcomes and laying the groundwork for an even more successful year ahead.
