A tragic incident has rocked Ghana’s football community following the killing of young winger Dominic Frimpong during a violent robbery attack on his club’s team bus.
Frimpong, who played for Berekum Chelsea, lost his life after armed assailants ambushed the team while they were returning from a Ghana Premier League fixture.
The attack occurred along the Goaso–Bibiani Road after the team’s away match against Samartex in Samreboi.
According to the club, heavily armed men blocked the road and opened fire on the bus, forcing players and officials to flee into nearby bushes for safety.
In a statement, the Ghana Football Association confirmed the 20-year-old’s death, describing it as a devastating loss to both his club and Ghanaian football.
