The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has said the relaunch of the Renewed Hope Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) 3.0 will stimulate micro and small-scale enterprises while strengthening household incomes and community resilience.
Mahmoud made the remarks at the official launch of GEEP 3.0 and the flag-off of the FarmerMoni Dry/Wet Season Disbursement in Abuja.
In a statement issued by her Special Adviser on Media, Austine Elemue, the minister described the initiative as a strategic intervention aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In her goodwill message, Mahmoud commended Tinubu for sustaining people-focused programmes aimed at reducing poverty, promoting inclusive economic growth, and empowering citizens across the country.
She noted that GEEP 3.0 expands access to affordable financing for traders, artisans, farmers, women, and youths, thereby enhancing micro-enterprises, increasing household incomes, and building resilient communities.

The minister also described the FarmerMoni Dry/Wet Season Disbursement as a critical intervention to enhance food security, strengthen agricultural value chains, and promote rural development.
She welcomed the inauguration of the new technical working group, expressing confidence that it would provide effective oversight, ensure efficient fund disbursement, promote prudent utilisation of resources, and uphold accountability in the programme’s implementation.
Mahmoud reaffirmed the commitment of the FCT Administration to collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure broad access for beneficiaries.
She urged participants to utilise the funds responsibly, reinvest them productively, and prioritise timely repayment to guarantee the sustainability of the initiative.
She further called on implementing partners to demonstrate diligence and innovation in executing the programme.
