The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Adamawa State has denied a viral social media claim alleging that its personnel seized a Police Hilux vehicle.
In a statement released on Thursday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abdulrahman H. Tukur, the FRSC described the allegation as “false, baseless, and entirely misleading.”
The statement clarified that no Police vehicle, Hilux or otherwise, was ever seized, impounded, or detained by FRSC officials.
It also reaffirmed the strong, cooperative working relationship between the Corps and the Nigeria Police Force in the state, emphasizing their continued collaboration to enhance public safety and national security.

The FRSC suggested that the viral report may have been deliberately crafted to create misunderstanding and weaken cooperation among security agencies.
The Command called on the public to disregard the circulating misinformation and refrain from sharing unverified claims capable of causing unnecessary tension.
It reiterated its commitment to road safety administration, traffic management, and public enlightenment, assuring that its duties are carried out with professionalism and respect for inter-agency collaboration.
