A 30-year-old puff-puff seller, Oluwatosin Adejumo, has received a life-changing opportunity after Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State appointed her as a chef at the Government House.
Oluwatosin, a graduate who lost her mother four years ago, had been struggling to make ends meet and turned to selling puff-puff, a popular Nigerian snack, to survive. She learned catering skills while assisting a mentor, Mrs. Funmilayo Grace Ajakaiye, and later started her own small business with the help of suppliers who allowed her to buy ingredients on credit.
Her turning point came during a public event when Governor Adeleke noticed her. The governor bought all her puff-puff, handed her ₦50,000, and engaged her in a brief conversation. Upon discovering that she was a graduate, he immediately referred her to the Commissioner of Affairs and Protocol for further consideration.
