A fresh twist has emerged in the ongoing controversy surrounding the family of late Afrobeats star Mohbad, as his widow, Olawunmi Aloba, has publicly addressed the lingering DNA dispute with her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba.
Olawunmi, popularly known as Wunmi, spoke during a TikTok livestream, where she expressed frustration over the prolonged paternity controversy involving her son, Liam.
The dispute stems from repeated calls by Joseph Aloba for a DNA test to confirm the child’s paternity.
In her response, Wunmi maintained that she is not opposed to the DNA test but accused her father-in-law of delaying the process.
She also insisted that he must first comply with a court order directing him to issue an apology to her, warning that failure to obey the court directive could drag the dispute on indefinitely.

“If you are not going back to that, we will be in this battle for too long. 20 years, I’m still here. You have no power over Liam,” she said.
Wunmi further revealed that she had initially been the one to request a DNA test but chose to stay silent amid the growing public speculation.
She also alleged that Joseph Aloba never officially informed her of any plans to conduct the test, despite discussing it publicly.
“Everybody has family issues that they are dealing with. You never wanted it from the beginning. The next thing you did was going to my lawyer to serve them,” she added.
