The Forum of Special Advisers in Kano State has declared its full support for Governor Abba Yusuf and endorsed him for re-election in 2027.
The endorsement was made on Tuesday during a press briefing at the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Kano.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, the Chairman, Baffa Sani, and Secretary, Idris Salisu, said the forum had unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the governor, describing his administration as people-oriented, transparent, and inclusive.
According to Gaya, the governor’s performance across critical sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, and agriculture justifies the call for continuity beyond 2027.
“In just over two years, His Excellency has restored accountability, fiscal discipline, and public confidence in governance.
“He has demonstrated rare commitment to human capital development and social welfare,” he said.
Highlighting the administration’s achievements, the forum noted that over N28 billion in outstanding gratuities and death benefits had been cleared, while education received 31% of the 2025 budget — surpassing the UNESCO benchmark.
It also cited the recruitment of over 3,800 teachers, confirmation of 5,634 facilitators, and sponsorship of 1,001 first-class graduates for postgraduate studies abroad.

In the health sector, the forum commended the establishment of the Kano Centre for Disease Control, the Abba-Care scheme, and the recruitment of over 280 health professionals, alongside free maternal care and solarization of health facilities.
On infrastructure, Gaya listed major flyovers, metropolitan roads, and 5km dual carriage projects across the 44 local government areas, alongside investments in security, agriculture, and youth empowerment initiatives.
“Governor Abba Yusuf’s achievements in less than three years speak for themselves. His government has rekindled hope and restored Kano’s leadership role in the federation,” the forum said.
The advisers, therefore, called on residents to rally behind the governor, pledging continued loyalty and support for his second-term bid.
