The Ughelli-South United Forum (USUF) has inaugurated its executives and coordinators for Jeremi Wards 1 and 2 in support of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s re-election in 2027.
The event, which drew Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members and supporters from across the wards, marks a renewed commitment to grassroots mobilisation and unity ahead of the 2027 elections.
Chairman of the forum, Godwin Okporoko, in his address, emphasised the importance of collective interest over personal ambition in building a stronger party.
He stated that “our strength lies in our unity. If we want the PDP to flourish in Ughelli-South, we must prioritise the collective good.
“The forum is committed to ensuring that those who have worked tirelessly for the party are recognised and rewarded. This will further motivate them to do more for the PDP and strengthen party unity.”
He reiterated the forum’s unwavering support for the re-election of Governor Oborevwori, describing him as a “workaholic” leader deserving of a second term.
While inaugurating the ward executives and coordinators, Okporoko expressed confidence in their capacity, calling them seasoned grassroots mobilisers.
