Former Delta SSG Macaulay commends Tinubu over oil block allocations
Former Secretary to the Delta State Government, Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Macaulay, has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the allocation of three oil blocks to Isoko indigenes.

Speaking during a gathering of All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and members at his country home in Owhelogbo, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Macaulay praised the president for recognizing the contributions of the Isoko people in the oil sector.

The event, which followed the Yuletide celebrations, brought together APC leaders, Local Government Area executives, ward executives, and grassroots party members.

Macaulay underscored the significance of the oil block allocations, describing them as a testament to the President’s inclusive leadership and commitment to empowering marginalized groups.

“As the Okiroro of the Isoko Nation, I deeply appreciate President Tinubu for remembering the Isoko people in the oil sector. This is a monumental step towards recognizing our contributions and potential. However, I appeal to the President to extend this recognition to political appointments, ensuring the Isoko Ethnic Nationality has a voice in his administration,” Macaulay said.

The former SSG also reiterated the party’s commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s policies and programs aimed at national progress.

In his remarks, the APC Chairman for Isoko North, Barr. Daniel Emebuno, lauded Macaulay’s leadership, describing him as a dynamic and grassroots-focused political icon. He also commended the President for his bold decisions in favor of the Isoko people.

Similarly, the APC Chairman for Isoko South, Vincent Egbogbo, praised Macaulay for his unwavering support and efforts in uniting the party.

Chief Eloho Edivri, representing Senator Joel Onowakpo of Delta South Senatorial District, urged party members to remain united and steadfast in their support for the President’s vision. Another party chieftain, Chief Lucky Jerry Esigie, highlighted Macaulay’s pragmatic approach to fostering unity within the APC.
