Forensic Specialists testifying about the Cassie Hotel footage disclosed that discussions regarding pixelation and motion activity took place, with Piazza highlighting in a meticulous frame-by-frame analysis that the file in question is corrupted.

The federal trial involving Sean “Diddy” Combs regarding sex trafficking and racketeering is ongoing in New York City, and on this 16th day of witness accounts, the prosecution calls upon a forensic video specialist to provide testimony.

Regarding his credentials, Frank Piazza indicates that he operates a website named Legal Audio Video and has previously collaborated with entities like the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the FBI, the New Jersey Bar Association, and various private law and investigative firms.

When the prosecution inquired this morning about his qualifications as a specialist in his domain, he answered, “50 times.”

The defense voiced no objections regarding his status as an expert witness.

Piazza was questioned about how often he has assisted the Southern District of New York, the federal agency pursuing charges against Diddy in this case, and he mentioned, “50 or 100 times,” then was asked if this experience would affect his testimony.

He clarified that he does “75 percent defense work,” and noted that his compensation is $295 per hour.

Questions arose concerning technical aspects of cellphone and surveillance footage as the prosecuting lawyer displayed the notorious 2016 video showing Diddy in a towel pursuing Cassie down a hotel corridor.

Piazza remarked that this constitutes a “video of a video” recorded on an iPhone 6 at a rate of 30 frames per second.

He asserted that it did not seem to have been edited or altered in any way. He believed that the video is accurate but acknowledged that “there were issues” with the surveillance footage.

Piazza explained that the unmodified surveillance video runs at 22 frames per second, resulting in the phone’s 30fps rate causing the motion to appear more rapid; he mentioned that they counted the frames and utilized software to adjust the timing.

A discussion followed about the pixelation and motion activity, and Piazza noted in his detailed analysis that the file is corrupted.

He confirmed that he created a compilation at the request of the prosecution, which was shown in court, and stated that he has assessed this footage as accurate.

He remarked that he added a black screen to delineate distinct edited sections.

The prosecutors presented sexually explicit videos that had been sealed, retrieved from the “Frank Black” account, a pseudonym frequently used by Diddy for booking hotel accommodations via a device provided by Cassie.

Piazza affirmed that he was tasked with enhancing the audio portion of the explicit videos.
