Benue State security operatives have detained seven foreign nationals suspected of involvement in criminal activity in Imande-Agbatse, a border community between Nigeria and Cameroon. The arrests were made after youths in the area intercepted the men in the early hours of Monday and handed them over to authorities.
The suspects, identified as Titakung Cyril Gadinga, Nuvi Clifford Babila, Foyabo Godwin Nuvi T, Doh Collins Dobgima, Basil Smith, Dama Kenneth Babila and Dingana Emmanuel, were accused of aiding banditry and supporting cross-border criminal networks. Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the development on Tuesday, noting that the men are now in the custody of the State Police Criminal Investigation Department for profiling and further investigation.

Security sources said Benue State remains calm as investigators work to determine the group’s activities and their possible links to criminal operations along the Nigeria-Cameroon corridor. Authorities are expected to release more details as the inquiry progresses.
