A private jet operated by Flybird Airlines on Sunday morning crash-landed at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano, following a nose wheel malfunction.
A reliable source disclosed that the aircraft, which departed Abuja for Kano, landed at about 9:30 a.m. with 11 persons on board, including three crew members.
The source said the pilot carried out an emergency landing after the aircraft developed a fault in its nose wheel while approaching the runway.

“All the passengers and crew members were safely evacuated. There were no injuries or casualties recorded,” the source disclosed.
Airport emergency and safety officials were immediately deployed to the scene to secure the aircraft and ensure the safety of passengers, while normal airport operations reportedly continued.
As at the time of filing this report, the affected aircraft had been evacuated from the tarmac and moved to a maintenance area for further technical checks, the source noted.
