First Bank of Nigeria has inaugurated a fully automated Digital Experience Centre at the Bayero University, Kano (BUK), aimed at improving customer service through technology-driven banking.
Speaking during the inauguration, the Group Head of Branch Operations and Services, Mrs. Abimbola Ajayi, said the centre represents the bank’s push towards full digital transformation and enhanced convenience for customers.
She said the facility, will operates 24 hours daily and offers a range of self-service options including cash deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and card issuance — all without direct human assistance.
“Beyond regular banking, this centre allows users to explore, learn, and perform transactions independently in a safe and interactive environment,” she said.

She explained that while the centre is designed for seamless self-service, support staff are on standby to assist customers when necessary.
While addressing concerns about network reliability, she assured users of improved connectivity and consistent service delivery, noting that, the choice of Bayero University as the host location was deliberate, given the technology-inclined student community whose feedback would help the bank refine its digital solutions.
While pointing out that the centre is the second of its kind in the North, Mrs. Ajayi also emphasized that the bank remains a digitally driven, customer-focused brand dedicated to providing round-the-clock, innovative banking experiences.
BUK Vice Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Musa, who was represented by Prof. Amina Mustapha, the Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and Development, lauded the initiative and urged staff and students of the institution to ensure a judicious use of the facility.
