The federal government’s Technical, and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative has begun approving shortlisted applicants.
This progress follows a notification email sent to applicants last month, asking them to resend their credentials for verification.
Many applicants received congratulatory emails regarding their approval early Wednesday.
One beneficiary, Mahmuda Abdulkadir, who received his approval notification via email, shared his excitement message online.
The email notification reads to: mamudaabdulqadir880 @gmail.com and dated September 24, 2025, reads: “Dear Applicant, Congratulations! You have been
Successfully matched to Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Kaduna.
“Address: Dept of Vocational & Technical Studies, Afaka, Kaduna
“You are required to report to your training centre within five days of receiving this email to complete your registration.
“Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your application, and your slot will be
reassigned to another applicant.”
As another applicant expressed his frustration on Facebook, Amos Denga complained, saying, “seriously, they’re saying my login information is incorrect.”

While the approval process is still underway, many applicants have expressed frustration that their dashboards are unsatisfactory and have questioned whether they have been excluded from the program, despite having submitted their credentials for verification.
The TVET application portal, aimed at equipping young Nigerians with essential technical and vocational skills, is now open.
The portal became accessible on May 31, 2025, inviting young Nigerians interested in gaining practical skills in trades that can lead to employment and job creation.
Participants selected for the program will receive starter kits, which may include tools for electricians, plumbing supplies, or carpentry sets.
The program also offers access to soft loans and business support in partnership with the Bank of Industry.
Training will be conducted at accredited facilities across the states, including both private institutions and technical colleges.
The training will be provided through federal and state institutions, with certificates recognized nationwide.
