The Federal Government has opened applications for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme (RHAMP), a new initiative designed to revolutionise Nigeria’s farming sector through advanced mechanisation.

Unveiled through the Bank of Agriculture in partnership with Heifer Nigeria, the programme aims to strengthen food security by empowering a new generation of mechanisation service providers, with a strong focus on women, youth, and agricultural enterprises.

The Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, confirmed the development in a statement posted on Thursday, urging interested applicants to apply via the official website, https://boanig.com, before the deadline of November 10, 2025.

The initiative offers access to affordable tractors and modern implements, backed by a three-year servicing plan through verified centres and mobile hubs. It also includes flexible repayment models tied to farm productivity, along with technical support and digital monitoring through IoT technology.

Applications are open to women and youth agripreneurs aged 18 to 35, as well as mechanisation companies seeking to expand their equipment base. The scheme features attractive terms such as three-to-five-year lease options, 15 per cent interest rates, and a 25 per cent down payment, with special provisions to support female farmers and rural operators.

The Federal Government described RHAMP as a bold step toward achieving agricultural modernisation, reducing drudgery in farming, and boosting food production across the country.

President Tinubu, who launched the first phase earlier in June, reiterated his administration’s commitment to transforming the agricultural landscape. “Today, we take a monumental leap forward with the introduction of state-of-the-art tractors through our new mechanisation programme. We are proud of what we are doing for Nigerian farmers,” he said.

The first phase of RHAMP saw the distribution of over 2,000 tractors, 50 industrial-grade bulldozers, 12 mobile workshops, and more than 8,000 specialised farming implements to boost mechanised agriculture and enhance rural productivity nationwide.
