FG opens recruitment into Civil Defence, Immigration, Correctional, Fire Services

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially announced the commencement of nationwide recruitment into four key paramilitary agencies under its supervision. The agencies include the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

According to a press statement issued by the Board, the application portal, https://recruitment.cdcfib.org will go live on Thursday, June 26, 2025, inviting suitably qualified Nigerians to apply for various full-time positions.

The recruitment exercise covers multiple categories: the Superintendent Cadre (Category A), Inspectorate Cadre (Category B), and Assistant Cadre (Category C) across the four agencies.

In the Superintendent Cadre, opportunities include:

Superintendent of Corrections (CONMESS 02) for holders of MBBS degrees, available exclusively in the Nigerian Correctional Service.

Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09) for applicants with degrees in Law or Engineering, exclusive to the Federal Fire Service.

Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08) for candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognized institution.

In the Inspectorate Cadre, qualified nurses and midwives can apply as Inspectors (CONHESS 06) in NCoS, FFS, and NSCDC, while those with NCE or ND certificates can apply for the Assistant Inspector (CONPASS 06) position.

The Assistant Cadre offers roles for SSCE, NECO, or GCE holders:
Assistant II (CONPASS 04) for general duty roles.

Assistant III (CONPASS 03) for drivers, appliance operators, and artisans.

Applicants are advised to apply for only one agency, as multiple entries across different services will lead to automatic disqualification.
Eligibility and Requirements

All applicants must:

Be Nigerian by birth.

Possess the required educational qualifications.

Be between 18 and 35 years of age.

Meet height requirements: minimum of 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females.

For male applicants, the minimum chest measurement is 0.87m.

Be physically and mentally fit, and provide a Medical Fitness Certificate from a government hospital.

Be of good character with no criminal conviction or financial embarrassment.

Have basic computer literacy as an added advantage.

 

Applicants should note that all applications are free of charge and must be submitted within three weeks of the opening date.

The CDCFIB emphasized that any certificate not presented during the recruitment process will not be accepted afterward, and warned against fraudulent practices, stressing that only merit-based selections will be considered.
