The federal government says it is looking into reports from Burkina Faso about a Nigerian Air Force C-130 aircraft that was allegedly compelled to land in Bobo Dioulasso after infringing on the country’s airspace.
In a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, indicated that officials are still collecting information regarding the incident.

“We are monitoring the situation and will provide a statement once we have sufficient details,” he stated.
The Burkina Faso government had accused the air force aircraft, which was carrying 11 soldiers, of breaching its airspace and being forced to land on Monday.
