The police in Rivers State have launched an investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to the stabing of seven- year- old Alicia Olajumoke to death by her minder.
According to a statement by the state police command on Thursday, the incident happened on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
The statement said that one Glory Joseph, of No. 21 Okabia Street, Agip Estate, Rumueme, Port Harcourt, reported at the station that her daughter, Alicia Olajumoke, aged seven years, was stabbed to death at about 1400 hours by one Success, surname yet to be known.
She further stated that the suspect went to the school of the deceased, picked her up, took her to the house, and stabbed her to death.

She narrated that the suspect also inflicted a stab wound on her own throat.
A visit to the scene of the crime was conducted by the police and photographs taken.
The statement further said the victim and the suspect were rushed to the hospital, where both of them were confirmed dead.
“The two corpses have been deposited at the morgue for autopsy while the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.for preliminary investigation,” the statement added.
