The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has commenced an indefinite strike as of Monday.
This announcement was made in a statement released by the ARD-FCT and signed by President George Ebong and General Secretary Agbor Affiong.
Last week, the ARD-FCT had previously conducted a seven-day warning strike, highlighting the government’s failure to address ongoing grievances.

The doctors have pointed out several critical issues, including insufficient staffing, inadequate welfare, unpaid salaries, unexplained salary deductions, the mental strain of extended working hours, and the lack of new hiring in FCT hospitals since 2011.
