The Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) has pledged its support for the developers of the proposed Abuja City Walk project, reinforcing its commitment to fostering genuine private sector developments in the nation’s capital.
Executive Secretary of the FCDA, Richard Dauda, assured the developers of the City Walk project that the agency would provide all necessary technical assistance to ensure the project’s immediate commencement and timely delivery.
This assurance was given during a meeting with the management of MAG International Links Limited, the firm behind the development.
During the meeting, the executive secretary mentioned that a preliminary visit to the project site had already taken place in response to a request for the construction of an official access road to the proposed sales office showroom.
He also indicated that the FCDA was currently working on obtaining approval from the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
To facilitate the project, the executive secretary has directed the establishment of a technical team, which will include representatives from the engineering services, urban and regional planning, surveying and mapping, resettlement and compensation, and engineering design and evaluation departments.

Executive Director of MAG International Links Limited, Dr. Kassim Gidado, expressed gratitude to the FCDA for the opportunity to undertake the project.
He emphasized that the meeting would help his team to clarify technical issues related to the project and assured that they would collaborate closely with the FCDA to ensure its successful execution.
The proposed Abuja City Walk project draws inspiration from Dubai’s City Walk concept, featuring an integrated mix of residential, healthcare, commercial, entertainment, hospitality, institutional, and other complementary developments.
It is located on Plot No. 28 in the Abuja Technology Village (ATV) District, along the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Expressway, and is being developed by Gilmor Engineering (Nigeria) Limited.
The ATV District was envisioned as a Science and Technology Park (STP) aimed at establishing a sustainable knowledge-based economy.
