Former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has announced that she has accepted the offer from Club de Madrid to take on a role as an advisor for the club.
Ezekwesili shared this information in a message on her X account on Tuesday.
In her message, she described Club de Madrid as “the largest international assembly of democratic former presidents and prime ministers.”
She elaborated that the forum utilises both their personal and shared leadership experiences, as well as their worldwide connections, to enhance inclusive democratic practices and elevate people’s quality of life globally.

The message stated: “I have accepted the role of advisor to @ClubdeMadrid – Club de Madrid, recognized as the largest international assembly of democratic former leaders, who use their unique and combined leadership skills and global affiliations to promote inclusive democratic practices and enhance the well-being of people worldwide.
“With our global landscape growing increasingly intricate, the absence of effective leadership hinders progress toward resolving issues related to ‘global public Bads.’
“I truly value the commitment these past leaders of democracies globally exhibit in their efforts to tackle our worldwide challenges and expand opportunities.”
