A former Vice Chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Bernard Odoh has called for an increased investment in technology in Ebonyi State.
Prof. Odoh said an increased investment in technology in the state will ensure the state remains competitive in the coming decades.
He stated this in Abakaliki, the state capital while interacting with journalists.
The 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state, argued that if the state invests in technology and create quality learning environment, it will secure its future.
He however lauded Governor Francis Nwifuru’s achievements in the education sector.
The former vice chancellor expressed delight at attending the second anniversary celebration of the governor and praised the administration’s efforts in the education sector, particularly its support for over 1,000 scholars locally and abroad.

“Education is the best law in the world,” Prof. Odoh emphasized, urging the governor to continue investing in the sector.
On the security situation in the state, Prof. Odoh commended Gov. Nwifuru for his efforts in fostering peace, noting that he had personally reached out to the governor to commend his work in this regard.
When asked about his plans for the 2027 elections, Prof. Odoh declined to discuss politics, stating that “I’m focused on building my agenda for personal development. 2027 is too early to talk about.”
He, however, expressed joy at reconnecting with friends, colleagues, and fellow Ebonyians at the event.
