A former Niger Delta agitator Endurance Amagbein has appealed to Nigerians including Nigeria Labour Unions to accept the removal of petrol subsidy by President Bola Tinubu as a renewed hope agenda to prevent wastage and redirect financial resources to revamp the nation’s economy.
Speaking in Uyo Akwa Ibom state capital on Monday, Amagbein observed that the economy was already in bad shape before Tinubu intervened with the removal of petrol subsidy to put the economy on the right path.
While appraising the gains made by Tinubu’s led administration, Amagbein explained that the Petroleum Subsidy removal was long overdue.
He described the petrol subsidy removal as a bitter pill Nigerians must swallow now to conserve funds for the development of the country.
“President Ahmed Bola Tinubu deserved commendation for taking the bull by the horns to announce the subsidy removal which was overlooked by former Nigerian Presidents.”
The freedom fighter who holds the exalted title of Adaka11 advised Nigerians to have faith in President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s sincerity in rolling out palliatives to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal.

“As already manifested in the disbursement of N2b and five trucks of rice each to the thirty-six States of the Federation.
Amagbein who is a philanthropist disclosed that the gains of petroleum subsidy removal have helped the federal government to save more money which according to him has increased the Federation Account Alocation Committee(FAAC) sharing pool with states now receiving higher allocation.
He therefore enjoined Nigerians not to lose faith but to have confidence in the capacity of President Ahmed Tinubu to turn around the economic fortunes of the country through petroleum subsidy removal and assuage the suffering of the masses.
“Refineries in the country will start working again to end the importation of petroleum products which will drastically reduce the pump price of petroleum products,” he said.
