A non-governmental organisation, Elomaz Foundation, has donated books, Tables and Chairs to Emore Grammar School, Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State.
Speaking on the reason behind the kind gesture, the Director General, Chief Mrs Veronica Odogwu, explained that the donation is part of Elomaz Foundation’s activities lined up for the year 2022.
“Today’s donation of over seventy (70) Books, 200 Tables and Chairs to aid the learning condition of the students, while the reconstructed fence of Emede Grammar School is awaiting commissioning. These are parts of the Foundation’s activities lined up for the year.
“We have four sets of activities that we do every year. Just recently, we provided relief materials to flood victims in Odoro Primary School Oleh and Alaka Grammar School, Ozoro.
“Every December, the widows and aged ones always come around for Christmas packages, including the three Orphanage Homes in Isoko nation. And we are looking forward to doing that soon. Also, we are set to register 1000 students for JAMB this year coupled with Free Jamb Lectures for students and other activities. And all these projects are done single-handedly by the founder of the foundation, Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and they are not politically motivated.”

Receiving the materials on behalf of Emore Grammar School, the National President, Emore Grammar School Old Students Association, Mr Eric Oghounu, commended Elomaz Foundation and Mrs Gloria Joel-Onowakpo, for the donation, stressing that, the wife of Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas’ has contributed so much to the growth of the Association, most especially her contribution to the recent celebration of Golden Jubilee of Emore Grammar School, Old Students Association.
Also speaking, the Principal of Emore Grammar School, Mrs Beatrice Omotowho Egwero, who was represented by her Vice Principal, Mrs Margaret Uchakor commended Elomaz Foundation for the kind gestures, promising to put the materials to proper use.
President General of Oleh kingdom, Chief Believe Alakri, commended the founder of Elomaz Foundation, Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, urging well-meaning individuals to emulate Elomaz Foundation’s gestures.
Those that witnessed the presentation are; the National Executives of Emore Grammar School Old Students Association, Mr Eric Enifome Osokpor, Chief Inspector, and representatives of Post Primary Education Board among others.
