The Director General of Elomaz Foundation, a non-governmental organisation based in Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief Mrs Veronica Odogwu, has said that the Foundation was committed to the development of education in Isoko nation.
Odogwu stated this during the commissioning of the fence of Emede Grammar School which was constructed by the Foundation as part of its activities lined up for the year 2022.
“The commissioning of the Emede Grammar School fence is a dream come true and in fulfilment of the promise made to the School some time ago by Elomaz Foundation. We at Elomaz Foundation are committed to the development of education in Isoko nation, hence we have embarked on various Educational Support Schemes.
“We have four sets of activities that we carry out every year. Within the next few weeks, we are going to give out Christmas packages to 150 widows across Isoko nation including the registered Orphanage Homes in Isoko nation. Just recently, we provided relief materials to flood victims in Odoro Primary School Oleh and Alaka Grammar School, Ozoro.
“Also we are set to register over 1000 students for JAMB this year coupled with our FREE JAMB LECTURES. All these projects are done single-handedly by the founder of the foundation, Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and they are not politically motivated.
“By January, we will award scholarships to the best student in each class across some selected schools in Isoko nation, in each school 6 students will be given scholarships under the Elomaz Foundation Students Assistance Scheme.”

Commending the Foundation for keeping to their promise, the National President, Emede Grammar School Old Students Association, Comrade Osazuwa Osamede, represented by Comrade Alexis Oboma, commended Elomaz Foundation, Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and his wife, Mrs Gloria Joel-Onowakpo, over the construction.
He stressed that Hon Joel-Onowakpo and his wife have contributed so much to the development of Emede Grammar School and its Old Students Association.
He solicited the support of the foundation as well as that of Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and his wife in the forthcoming Golden Jubilee celebration of the School’s Old Students Association and urged the foundation to do more.
He prayed God to strengthen and energise Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and members of Elomaz Foundation in all their endeavours.
Also speaking, the Principal of Emede Grammar School, Mrs Anikwe Princess commended Elomaz Foundation for the construction of the fence. While urging the Foundation to do more for the School, she noted that the Students are in need of Chairs and desks.
On his part, the Vice President of Emede Community, Mr Lucky Arumari, commended the founder of Elomaz Foundation, Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and urged other well-meaning individuals to emulate Elomaz Foundation’s kind gesture.
