Nigerian-born boxer Elizabeth Temitayo Oshoba delivered a stunning performance in London, defeating Britain’s Chelsey Arnell via a third-round technical knockout at Olympia London, Kensington. The victory further cements her reputation as one of the most formidable female boxers of her generation.
Born on December 23, 1999, in Agbado, Lagos, Oshoba later moved with her family to Tigbo-Ilu in Ogun State, where she completed her secondary education. Known for her fearless and aggressive style in the ring, Oshoba has consistently dominated opponents throughout her career.
Prior to this latest triumph, she earned recognition as a multiple national champion and won a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Her international breakthrough came in November 2023 when she became the IBO Female Super-Featherweight Champion after defeating Martina Righi.

Oshoba’s career highlights include securing the IBF International Super-Featherweight title and winning the WBC Silver Featherweight Championship in January 2024 by knocking out Michela Braga in the 10th round. Later that year, she became the first Nigerian woman to win the WBC Silver Featherweight Championship in Copenhagen, Denmark, defeating an Italian opponent in historic fashion.
Now ranked number four globally and based in Bristol, United Kingdom, Oshoba marked her debut under Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) with this win. Following her victory, she called out current IBF featherweight champion Nina Meinke, signalling her ambition for future title bouts.
